5 Things I Want Just for My Selfish Self:
1 - Honda Pilot

2 - Week-long vacation in Hawaii sans children

3 - a Maid (who doesn't?)

4 - Day at a really nice spa

5 - 1 lb of chocolate from Mom's Kandy Kitchen that I don't have to share

In the car, driving Ricochet to school and with great exasperation, Turtle exclaims, "Ahhhhh! I hate the humans!"

Apparently news radio just ain't his thing.

Ricochet: No, I can't be a mom yet. I'm too little.
Turtle: Yes you can.
Ricochet: Mooooom! Turtle doesn't believe me that I can't be a mom yet because I'm too young!
Me: She's right Turtle, she needs to grow up and get married before she can be a mom.
Turtle: How old will she be?
Ricochet: Probably like 13.
Me, with a look of horror: No! You are not allowed to be a mom at 13.

Ricochet: Can we have a pajama day?
Me: Not today.
Turtle: Can we have a naked day?

Ricochet and Turtle were having a bit of a tiff and Ricochet punched her brother in the stomach. This was the version Turtle gave me: "Her punch me in the stomach and really hurt my uterus!"

We got out of the car and it was raining. Turtle declared adamantly "We need a gorilla!" "What?" "Mom, it's raining - we need a gorilla!" (I'm fairly certain he meant an umbrella.)

Ricochet was sick and had to go to the doctor. While we were there, the male nurse was trying to have a conversation with Turtle and told him he had a cool shirt. Apparently Turtle wanted to return the compliment because he replied, "You have a nice...I like your...glove."

Sometime in the past...
We were going to visit some friends in our ward like a year and a half ago and told the kids we were going to visit the Barnes. While we were there, Ricochet was really quiet. And then, in the middle of conversation, she turns to me and asks, "Where are the cows?"

Sometime in the past...
My 4 year old niece is a little firecracker who is too smart for her own good. Her mother happens to be the teacher of her class in primary. So one day she had this conversation with her mother:
4 year old: "Mom, when are you going to stop teaching that lesson?"
Mom: "What lesson?"
4 year old: "That lesson you are always trying to teach us."
Mom: "What lesson am I always trying to teach you?"
4 year old: "Choose the right, choose the right, choose the right!"
Mom: "You're right. The last few lessons have been about choosing the right. But this week the lesson is about Joseph Smith. At the end of the lesson, it does say how Joseph Smith chose the right, though."
4 year old: "Yeah, Joseph Smith chose the right and he got killed."
Mom: "yeah..."
4 year old: "and Jesus chose the right and he got killed TOO!"
