Unprotected Driving

I learned a lesson this weekend driving back from Idaho. Actually, I learned the lesson AFTER the drive, the next day when my sunburn showed up. I had on longer sleeves, so my arms were fine, but my HAND that was on the steering wheel got it bad. I've never had this happen before. It hurt all night last night and when I woke up, I had a few small blisters. They're not so small anymore. My hand is so swollen and the blisters/burn are so painful I can't do much with it. So here's a lesson - wear sunscreen if you're going to be driving a long distance! Seriously, this is ridiculous!

UPDATE: By the time Ben got home from work, that "big" blister in the picture (which when I took that was just smaller in diameter than a dime) had grown to about the size of 1 and a half to 2 quarters. Yikes! We went to the doctor and he thought it was the weirdest thing and did a culture of it to so if it was infected. Then he ripped it off! In one foul swoop! I've never screamed and whimpered so much! Now I have to keep it wrapped up while it heals and this is all too much for one little lousy sunburn! I wish I had gotten a picture of it before it was gone so ya'll could feel so sorry for me after seeing the massive thing.
