101 Things I Love About Ben

Who knew there was so much to love about my better half? I want to share his awesomeness with all y'all, so here's my list:

His smile * He washes the dishes * He tells me I’m beautiful * He remembers names so I don’t have to * His quiet strength * The way he squints when he’s not wearing his contacts * His hands * Sometimes he slays my dragons and sometimes he hands me the sword * His love of the Lord * He plays with the kids * His honest heart * His strange sense of humor * He puts up with my crafty messes * He cares about people * He works hard so I don’t have to * Sometimes he acts like the teenagers he teaches … and it’s cute * He makes me stronger * He dances with me * And he loves it * He’s picky about cooking, but he’ll eat anything * He holds my hand * He winks at me * He lets me grow * He makes me laugh every day * His blue eyes * He makes up silly songs * He is patient when I am not * He grew up in Idaho and he doesn’t think “Napolean Dynamite” is funny because to him it’s normal * He loves his dog * He loves his family * He cooks * He calls me “Sinta” * He also calls me “Sugar Booger” * He loves dinosaurs like a little boy * His testimony * He’ll watch chick flicks with me (sometimes) * He rubs my feet * He’ll pose for pictures even though he doesn’t like to * He always kisses me goodbye * When he got in a bike accident, he was trying not to get blood on his shirt after regaining consciousness * He likes to walk places * He can make any animal sound in the world * He plays Boggle with me, even though I’m a brat about it * He looks good in a suit * He is non-judgemental * He calls Maddie “Little Girl” * He supports student fundraisers * And therefore brings me home chocolate! * He encourages me to be my best * He calls me before coming home from work … every day * He is smart * He is humble * He is obedient * He would do anything for me * He thinks I’m wonderful * He supports me * Sometimes he’ll listen to a country song because he knows I like it * He is not over emotional * People who don’t know him think he is too serious * He hasn’t said NO to Missouri (yet) * He takes care of the budget so I don’t have to * He doesn’t get mad when I spend too much * He wants me to be happy * He reminds me of my goals * He puts up with my crazy family * He comforts me * He is level-headed when I am not * He takes out the trash * He keeps the fridge free from leftovers * He is not obsessed with sports * He doesn’t like TV * He is a good kisser * He keeps me safe * He does what needs to be done * He’s taller than me * He loves to sing * He listens to showtunes with me * He doesn’t laugh at me when I say, “Dr. Laura says…” * He loves to go sledding * He dresses up like a pirate for one of his lessons at school * He is a good teacher * He loves teaching * He listens to me whine … and then wonders out loud where Maddie gets it * He plays games with me * He invites people over and then comes home and says “So and So is coming over in 20 minutes” * He is willing to serve anyone, anywhere, anytime * He is motivated * He hates facial hair * He is my own personal Cookie Monster * He is good at solving problems * He reads to the kids * The first thing he said to me when we met was, “Are you a dancer?” * He is dedicated * He loves animals * He says “I Love You” every day * He is not worldly in the least * He understands when I get engrossed in a book * He loves “I Spy” books and does them with Maddie * He loves me * He is my Hero
